“I’m not running for mayor, we’re running for mayor!”

At a very young age, my elders taught me the importance of taking care of my family and community, regardless of age or size. As a young Christian, I learned life’s golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. Growing up in the heart of Lexington, I was taught to be respectful and competitive. As an adolescent, I learned valuable life skills while living through experiences that forced me to mature faster than most.

I became a parent as a young adult and realized I had learned how to nurture and protect along the way by observing the loving women and good men throughout my life. Maneuvering through corporate America, I realized I had grown to be a strong leader, a passionate steward, and a firm believer in everything I had been taught to my benefit. I decided to be baptized as an adult and picked up one more valuable lesson that stuck with me; it does not have to be my fault to become my responsibility.

Those lessons, qualities, and values are still very prevalent today. As a dedicated and devoted dad of three, I have a responsibility to help raise the next generation of family and community leaders to learn to do the same.

I see a lot of good things taking place within our communities, created by individuals and organizations who have Lexington’s best interest at heart. However, I struggle to see where our recent local government and city officials have held itself to the same high standards by being transparent and embracing accountability as righteous Lexingtonians.

That ends now.

I never needed an elected position to take initiative or do right by my community, but as Lexington, Kentucky’s next Mayor I will Unite Lex with love and continue building a safer city — one that thrives together, celebrates our diverse and rich culture, and fosters unity through education and shared experiences.

I want to earn your vote, but either way. . . PLEASE VOTE, if you are able! Even if you don’t vote for me, right now, just show up and help elect the right people to help shape our future for the better. Local elections directly affect us all.

Campaign Focus

Lexington’s greatest resource has always been our people. Unite Lex is rooted in each of the twelve districts, united by one common goal: to keep Lexington great for all.

By supporting individuals and organizations who already hold Lexington together, and by restoring trust, love, and commitment to the future of our city, we will build a stronger, more connected and diverse community.

Public safety begins with personal safety. To strengthen Lexington’s public safety, we must first focus on improving the physical, mental, and financial security of all Lexingtonians.

By actively seeking and addressing the underlying conditions our communities face, and working with trusted community partners, we will strengthen families and build a safer, more successful city together.

Adequate and affordable housing is a direct reflection of how a city is being managed. Decade-long housing challenges continue to worsen in Lexington, and alongside the condition of our roads, show the need for new management and stronger leadership.

By empowering our greatest resource in a safer city with strong community ties, we will utilize our assets properly and effectively.
