ROOTS & BACKGROUND

Born and raised in the heart of Lexington’s 1st district, I’ve has spent my life serving my family and community. As a child, my parents, great-grandmother, and family instilled honorable qualities such as humility, integrity, & responsibility that allowed me to become a young leader amongst my peers while caring for my elders.

Before grade school, I was taught to study dictionaries, thesauruses, encyclopedias, and the Holy Bible. I attend Julia R. Ewan Elementary, Booker T. Washington Elementary, Crawford Middle School, and graduated from Lafayette High School in 2005 before continuing my education at the University of Louisville to study civil engineering. Those years taught me the value of hard work, preparation, and representing Lexington with pride.

In 2007, I was gifted the responsibility of being a dedicated & devoted dad. Faced with the choice between pursuing a master’s degree or enter the workforce, I chose to put my family first. I worked my way through leadership, operations, and management across several major organizations including Coca-Cola, UPS, iHeartMedia, Pepsi, and locally family-owned Clark Distributing Company, where I am currently employed while completing a degree in Business Administration this May of 2026.

Over the years, I has consistently invested my time, resources, and energy into serving the Lexington community and beyond. I have volunteered with several organizations including but not limited to The Salvation Army, Roald McDonald House, Goodwill, American Heart Association, and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health), among others. I served on the local Stewardship Committee for eight years with Coca-Cola, and was recognized by United Way in 2019 for local impact through UPS. I’ve also been recognized on multiple occasions by his children’s schools and sports teams for actively participation and volunteer leadership.

From 2011 to 2015, I helped coordinate and manage the kid’s stage at Lexington’s Roots & Heritage Festival. My service has extended deeply into faith-based and neighborhood efforts from church—singing, greeting, ushering, food drives, and events—to hands-on community engagement. In addition to helping coach my son’s sports teams and organized local events focused on restoring the sense of a “village” I remembers growing up in.

In 2024, I campaigned to represent Lexington’s 1st District as Councilman, gaining firsthand insight into how difficult achieving real progress within our communities can be without unity, accountability, and transparency in city leadership. These experiences and others has helped shape my commitment to lead with integrity, rebuild trust in local government, and move forward together as proud Lexingtonians!
